At SEEC, he worked under a highly experienced CEO and
dealt with many senior level executive and business
development consultants. Erickson learned all aspects
of product development, marketing and sales, development
processes, ramp-up and private financing, as well as
legal business aspects including patents and trademarks
law.
He graduated from the University of Montana School
of Forestry with a Bachelor of Science in 1986, with
extensive expertise in economics (business, energy,
environment and resource allocation). During Ericksons
college years, he served five seasons as a member of
an elite wildfire suppression team, the El Cariso Hotshots,
stationed in Orange County, California, carrying out
some of the most dangerous physically and mentally demanding
pyrotechnic fire suppression operations throughout the
mountains of Southern California and the Mountain West.
From 1987 to 1990, he was a private contractor of premium
energy efficient commercial real estate in Sun Valley
(Ketchum), Idaho.
Erickson is married and the father of an 18-month-old
son. He is an active member of The First Presbyterian
Church of Hudson, WI and served on the churchs
Finance Committee. He belongs to the Hudson, WI chapter
of Rotary International, and in his spare time, is an
avid naturalist, woodcutter, hunter, gardener, and downhill
skier.
